Application process
Browse the Assistive Technology (AT) Loans Scheme Equipment Catalogue to view over 250 communication, mobility, and self-care items. Each listed equipment will include a description and SKUID number. See below the table for a step by step guide to completing an application.
Most equipment is readily available. Please see detailed description below of the three AT categories available.

Step by step guide to completing an application
- Step 1: Complete assessment of client’s AT needs as per usual process.
- Step 2: Review AT Loans Scheme Guidelines and online AT equipment catalogue.
- Step 3: Select readily available equipment. This equipment will have a banner for easy reference.
- Where readily available does not meet the older person’s clinical need, you may choose purchased on request or pre-approval equipment. See the table above for information, including the steps involved in the pre-approval process.
- Step 4: Complete and submit online application form, including the SKUID, contract or quote number to ensure the correct equipment has been selected. Please note you will need to provide the person’s Aged Care ID.
- Step 5: At delivery, follow up with the client to confirm the correct equipment has been delivered and is suitable for their needs.
